Stawiska

Stawiska is one of the most unusual stations on the line. A four-track track from the Katowice Muchowiec station branches off in three directions: Sosnowiec Dańdówka, Mysłowice and Katowice Szopienice Północne, and the existing connector inside the post allows passage from Szopienice to Mysłowice and vice versa. At present, there are two signal boxes at the station: the disposing station Sk and the executive station Sk1, with centralized mechanical equipment. The service of the connecting branch on the Myslowice side used to be handled by the Sk2 signal box, but it was liquidated and the turnouts located in its circle received electric drives and control from the Sk1 signal box. The passage of trains from the direction of Sosnowiec-Dańdówka is carried out without the participation of the executive signalman, only through the district of the disposing signalman.[1]
