Dąbrowa Górnicza Wschodnia

Dąbrowa Górnicza Wschodnia is a four-way junction station, through which two, double-track railroad lines pass - from the direction of Slawkowo to Dabrowa Gornicza Strzemieszyce and a freight line from Dabrowa Gornicza Towarowa to the Dorota branch station. These lines cross collision-free a few kilometers before the station from the east. The station has 6 main tracks, two of which are located at a two-edge island platform. This platform has access from a road viaduct, flung over the tracks. In the past there was still a second platform, located on the inter-track of tracks 2 and 4 - today only its remains can be found. The station is home to two sidings: to the ore reloading depot (from where a conveyor belt is thrown, leading, among others, over the station to the Katowice Steelworks) and the Saint Gobain Glass Polska glassworks. Train traffic is conducted by the "DW" signal box, which has relay equipment with traffic lights. In the past, the station also had an SKP station, later replaced by TVU cameras, which are still in use today.[1]
