Katowice Zawodzie railway station is a station on the Katowice - Warszawa line. Only passenger trains stop here. Fast trains and pendolinos pass here. Passenger trains operated by Koleje Śląskie stop here. They provide connections in the Silesian Voivodeship.

Tracks in the station
The main railway tracks are formed by the 1st and 2nd station tracks between which lies the island platform number 1. All trains arriving and departing from the neighbouring Katowice and Sosnowiec Glówny stations arrive on these tracks. Tracks 1 and 2 are secured by a standard automatic block. For the routing of trains on the Mysłowice <-> Katowice routes, station tracks 3 and 4 are used, between which lies island platform 2. For the construction of freight trains, station sidings 6, 8 and 10 are used.
