Written Orders, or Rozkazy pisemne in Polish, are assigned and given to the driver sometimes by the dispatchers. According to PKP PLK Ir-1 rulebook, there are 4 types of written orders: O, N, S, Nrob. This page would introduce them one by one. All r. in "20 r." means year (rok in Polish, abbr.).

Written Order "O" usually indicates the temporary speed limit, or various reasons for driving cautiously. The general form looks like this, top one is Polish original, bottom one is English translation.

Written Order "N"
