THE STATION IS CURRENTLY NOT OPERABLE.
Kozłów is a junction station that only gained prominence in the early 1970s. At that time, the line to Koniecpol was built, which a little later enabled a connection between Kraków and Warsaw via the newly established CMK. The station was then rebuilt especially for this purpose, so that the departure towards Koniecpol was "straight", while in the direction of Sędziszów the junction was reversed at speeds of up to 100 km/h. The line to Koniecpol was led to Koniecpol by a trackless viaduct over track 1 of line 8. Kozlowo station currently has 7 main tracks, 6 of which are located on three double-track platforms. In addition to these, there are also several sidings, including a siding to the lift, which is currently out of service. Traffic is controlled from a single Kz interlocking, which is equipped with relay equipment. A SKP station is in operation to detect the end of trains from the tunnel side. A broad gauge metallurgical line runs next to the station, which then crosses over Line 8 via a viaduct from the Kraków side. An interesting feature here is the remnant of the railway line, which was probably once intended to bypass Biała Hora from the west - an entrance semaphore used to stand here and until recently traces of its course and fragments of track could be seen here.[1]
