Active vigilance (CA) is an electronic device | The Active vigilance (CA) is an electronic device which is part of the Automatic Train Protection (ABP) system. Its purpose is to ensure railway safety by checking the driver's vigilance every 60 seconds if the train speed is 10% higher than the maximum speed of the train. Driver vigilance is checked at equal intervals, first the "CA" lamp flashes, after about 3s the buzzer will sound and after another 2s the vehicle will apply emergency braking if the driver is not vigilant. | ||
