This station, where 14 pairs of trains stop, was opened for passenger traffic on 16 October 2006; the idea of its construction was supported, among others, by Przemysław Gosiewski from the Office of the Prime Minister of Poland. According to the president of PKP, the cost of building the platform amounted to PLN 909 000, of which PLN 300 000 was contributed by the city administration.
