The main transport tracks are formed by the 1st and 2nd station tracks between which lies the island platform number 2. All trains arriving and departing from the neighbouring Katowice Zawodzie and Będzin stations arrive on these tracks. Tracks 1 and 2 are secured by a standard automatic block.<br />

For the routing of trains in the Będzin <-> Sosnowiec Południowy section, the line track number 1P is used, which is controlled by a semi-automatic block defined by the departure and entry signals of the SG and SPł stations. It is therefore a single space section.<br />
