La estación tiene un grupo de vías de pasajeros (con 5 bordes de andén y 3 vías sin andenes) y un grupo de vías para mercancía (14 vías principales) que son circunvaladas por los trenes de pasajeros por las vías de tránsito (101 y 102). Lamentablemente, la estación vivió en el pasado sus mejores días, porque en la actualidad muchas de sus numerosas instalaciones, tales como un depósito de vagones, cobertizos para locomotoras, 2 colinas de maniobras y varios apartaderos (Mysłowice KWK, Mysłowice Franciszek) han sido desmantelados físicamente o puestos fuera de servicio. De la playa de vías de carga, tan solo 3 están actualmente operativas, mientras que el resto están cerradas (a menudo debido al robo de elementos de infraestructura). En la actualidad, el tráfico de trenes se lleva a cabo por dos puestos de Control: el MwA (en la sección de pasajeros y en la parte sur de la playa de vías de carga) y el MwB (salida a Zawodzie y Stawiska).
